DAILY DEVOTIONAL
THROUGH THE CHANGES
"He will not leave you or forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6
Dear Friend,
Days before the doctor told me, I knew I was pregnant. My body was already changing. My usually small breasts were miraculously spilling out of my A-cup bra. I was sleeping eight hours a night and still w anted a nap at 11:30 in the morning. As the weeks passed there were more changes. Even my clothes started "shrinking."
At first I didn't like these changes. They made me feel angry and a little scared. I knew that the changes in my body were signaling a change in my life and I wasn't ready for it.
I wasn't a Christian then and I felt far from God. But He wasn't far from me. Looking back, I can see how He tenderly watched over me through all the changes that were taking place in my body and in my life. I know that He helped me find the book that advised me to eat healthier and rest more. And I'm sure that He encouraged me to buy the pretty dress that boosted my morale.
The changes in your life have not caught God unprepared or left Him behind. He is near to you and wants to take care of you.
With love,
Nancy
