Recent world events and tragic attacks on our country have helped return America to its center. Churches have been crowded as the faithful seek a closer relationship with God.
The quick snuffing out of thousands of lives has helped us all understand the pain that comes with the death of loved ones and the need that survivors have to take time to grieve their loss. The September 11 attacks have also forced us to face the realities that the world is unstable and life is vaporous. It is in the moments that we feel seriously threatened that we run to the Rock for protection or at least solace. Many are now looking for peace of mind and answers to questions about eternity. What a great opportunity we have to present the Gospel.
Those of us who have experienced the death of a close loved one know that the one thing that offsets the pain is the knowledge that we will see that person again in Heaven. We can have that knowledge only if we shared with our loved one a common faith in Christ.
These are times when center ministry is needed more than ever. And one of the main ways in which we can minister is to introduce prospects, suspects, and clients to the Lord in a personal way.
The transformational nature of the Gospel starts with the heart transformation of repentance and salvation through an acceptance of Christ as one's personal Savior. Make sure your volunteers understand that the best way to change the world is to change one heart at a time. Give the Gospel to each heart that comes through the door of your center.
