Hardly a week goes by that we don't get an e-mail message, note, or letter from someone telling us how much At the Center means to the ministry of their CPC/PCC. And that's not the only way we hear about the good things ATC is responsible for.
Recently I participated in a CPC encouragement day in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, along with Tom Lothamer of Partners in Ministry of Grand Rapids, Michigan. We had about eighty CPC directors, volunteers, and board members join us to participate in eight separate focus groups on topics of interest. Then we had a wonderful lunch and each group "moderator" and "note taker" reported on the group's findings. How encouraging it was for me to see many of the listeners write down good ideas as they were reported.
But probably the most encouraging thing was when several of the ladies stood and told us that they had implemented the baby bottle fundraising idea we had printed in the Winter 2002 issue. One center had already raised more than $54,000, and another was well past $14,000. That's just great!
As a ministry marketer, I often ask my clients the value of one good idea. The truth is, one good idea can be worth a lot of money or can produce a lot of ministry effectiveness. We've reprised the essence of the baby bottle fundraiser article in this issue just in case you want to see it again. It probably would work well for your center! Try it and let us know how it goes.
Happy reading!
