We're in This Together.
Let's encourage one another.
Center ministry can sometimes seem the loneliest calling on earth. There you arein the trencheshearing people pour out their hearts. You empathize with them in the name of Christ. You help them make life and death decisions. You deal with people who suffer great pain. Sometimes you feel as though you may very well collapse under the strain of it all.
Then the Lord sends someone who gives you a word of encouragement. You rest, pick up, and go on again.
From the very beginning of this publication four years ago, we've received a lot of good response, which has encouraged us. Here is what one reader recently wrote in an e-mail message:
I wanted to let you know how your article in the winter At the Center gave me encouragement and help today. My family has been dealing with many problems, and these problems have interfered with my volunteering at our center. My husband and I have talked about our being under attack. We understand that Satan attacks us at our weakest, but reading your article gave me the strength I needed today. We have been clinging to I John 4:4, and now God has given that verse to me again today, through you. You have been a blessing, and I have been given hope. Thank you, and may God give you protection and blessing for your ministry to others.
We're in this life-changing, soul-saving ministry together. Perhaps there is someone the Lord has put on your heart that you need to encourage this day. Why not take the time to jot them a note, send them an e-mail message, or pick up the phone and tell them that the Lord has placed them on your heart. It will do both of you a lot of good!
We'd like to hear from you too. You can write us at At the Center, P.O. Box 100, Morgantown, PA 19543 or e-mail us at publications@rightideas.us.
