FRONT AND CENTER

Not too long ago I heard someone say, "Management is cause; all else is effect." While that is probably true of most business enterprises today, I think with a slight modification the saying is apropos for pregnancy center work. Most will probably agree when I say, "Leadership is cause; all else is effect." What does that mean? First of all, we each must understand that there is only one true leader of the ministries God has called us to do, and that is Jesus Christ Himself. We need to follow His example and His Word in the way we relate to others and serve people. Beyond that, it is our duty as leaders of His work here on earth to emulate Him and present an example as the apostle Paul did. He told his followers to follow him as he followed Christ. If our leadership abilities are gleaned from what Christ has taught, the effect will be the fruit of the Spirit worked out in our lives and hopefully in the lives of those who follow our example.
