A New Year
By Sherry Camelleri
"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:14
It seems like just a short time ago we celebrated our entry into 2007. Now here we are. Like a notebook filled with 366 blank pages, 2008 is before usfilled with opportunity, potential, and wonder.
We are, as recipients of God's grace, invited to participate in the mighty work that He desires to accomplish in the hearts and lives of individuals and familiesclients, volunteers, staff, and board members. Our message is one we have personally encountered and found to be life giving, life-sustaining, and so much more. Graciously, God has given us the ministry of offering life to those who would otherwise choose death.

THE CHALLENGES AND VICTORIES WON IN THE PAST SERVE AS MILE MARKERS ALONG THE JOURNEY, ENCOURAGING US TO CONTINUE.

As we realize God's intervention and faithfulness throughout the past year, our faith is renewed for we are reminded that with God all things are possible. He provides the wisdom, strength, perseverance, and hope to accomplish our tasks. As we walk through the dark valleys, it is then that we recognize the nail-scared hands that hold us. We are carried in His arms, close to His heart. The challenges and victories won in the past serve as mile markers along the journey encouraging us to continue. We stand in awe. Our hearts are humbled, and our burdens are lifted as we pause to give thanks.
In the midst of God's presence, we recognize the opportunities to begin again and to continue growing in our relationship and service to Him as well as those in need. God invites us to join with Him in the work that He is accomplishing. With calm assurance, we renew our commitment. We press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus.
