Justine Asiimwe is the executive director at The Comforter's Centre of Kampala, Uganda. She recently took over from Veronica Nakyewe, who got married and moved to the U.S.
In May, Justine sent the following email to Life Matters Worldwide:
It gives us joy and strength to know that people outside there are ever thinking about us. The Comforters Centre is doing well and we thank God that He always gives us the courage to reach out to women in Uganda.
Our program for abstinence education is still going on. We feel that in this era where teenagers are exposed to all sorts of information, abstinence education is the only way to help young girls and boys make wise decisions about their lives, so we shall continue to provide this information to our teenagers. As we have been doing, we shall continue visiting schools, churches, and communities as well to share with them about sexual abstinence.
In addition to that post-abortion study is still going on at the center. Currently, we are using Healing the Brokenhearted Bible study to reach out to women who are going through post-abortion trauma and it is working for them but we still need more information materials on post-abortion.
At the center we are in need of baby clothes and pro-life informational materials in abstinence education, abortion, and post-abortion and also Bibles. We would be glad if you could help us with the above, otherwise, thank you so much for loving us and keeping in touch with us and thanks for your prayers. May God bless you.
A group from Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, Texas, is traveling to Uganda August 7 to visit the PCC and is willing to take donated items. They're dedicating two suitcases to the mission (under 50 pounds each) and must have the items in time to pack them for the trip.
Can you help? If so, ship items directly to the church using this address:
